‘up north’ is a state of mind. something intangible yet always accessible.
it’s brisk air; warm colors; a steer sleeping in the shade of an oak; it’s solitude, in the best way. it’s reverence. it’s communion both with the self and something much greater. it’s feeling so small amidst its vast beauty.
i am a native plant of this region, temporarily removed and thriving in a different environment. but i am of this cloth, and it will forever be of me.
